Hailing from small town called Mount Fletcher, Eastern Cape, Ongezwa Magudu matriculated in 2013 at Phahama Secondary School, in Mohlakeng, Randfontein where her family currently resides. She started her tertiary studies at the University of Johannesburg in 2015, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Econometrics, obtained in December 2017. Currently, she’s studying Honours in Econometrics at the University of Johannesburg. She was a class leader (2011-2013), secretary of Girls and Boys movement club (2012), Deputy head of the education desk in Representative Council of Learners (RCL) (2012), in 2017 she was the Residence Academic Advisor at Karibu Jamii ladies residence and the University of Johannesburg Student Business Council Chairperson. Currently, she’s the Chief Operating Officer of the Student Business Council, She’s the Sunday School teacher at Every Nation Kids. She has been awarded certificates of achievements at Phahama as a top ten achiever also at Karibu Jamii Ladies Residence. She would love to work at the world bank one day. She is driven by change/making a difference/development. She lives by the motto “Do not be afraid of Change, fear is not your destiny. Embrace who you are, love yourself! and be what you wish you had.”
